125-member chorus headlines SEISO concerts
The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra will kick off its 63rd season with a fall concert series Saturday and Sunday in Burlington, Mount Pleasant and Ottumwa. Performances are: 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Auditorium in Burlington; 3 p.m. Sunday at Bridge View Center in Ottumwa; and 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Iowa Wesleyan College Chapel Auditorium in Mount Pleasant. Performances includes a chorus of more than 125 members from Iowa Wesleyan College, Mount Pleasant Community Chorale and Indian Hills Community College.
Husband and wife Bradley and Ana Miller will be guest conductor and guest soprano, respectively. In addition, college senior Andrew Robson will serve as guest conductor.

Admission to the fall concerts is by SEISO season ticket, Ottumwa Civic Music ticket and reciprocal organizations, or patrons can pay at the door. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for students age 12 and older. Season tickets for the fall, winter and spring performances will be available for sale before each concert. Cost is $35 for adults, $20 for students and $70 for a family.
To enrich the concert experience, attend the “Prelude.” Robert McConnell will talk about the music to be performed so patrons will have a greater understanding and appreciation of the performance they’re about to hear.
The “Prelude” is 30 minutes long and begins 45 minutes before each concert.
