Ada Josephine Myers
Ada Josephine Myers, 96, of Keosauqua, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.
A memorial service and burial of cremains in Fellows Cemetery, Keosauqua, will be at a later date.

Mrs. Myers was born Jan. 6, 1918, in rural Wayne County, the daughter of Marshall and Mary Etta Hayes Haskell. She married Jerry Jay Myers Dec. 3, 1938, in Corydon. He died May 27, 2006.
She graduated from Corydon High School in 1936.
She had been a bookkeeper and telephone operator in Des Moines.
She and her husband owned and operated Ada’s Flowers in Keosauqua from 1976 until the Des Moines River flood of 1993 flooded the shop.
She was a founding member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Keosauqua, and was active as long as her health permitted.
Survivors include one son, Michael Myers and spouse Teri of Florence, Ore.; one daughter, Marsha Achenbach and spouse Bob of Keosauqua; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruth Hiatt, Ruby Ryden and Berneta Haskell; and three brothers, Hollis, Lester and Doyle Haskell.
