Benefit for Moore set Saturday
DOUDS — A benefit dinner and silent auction for Richard Moore of Douds is planned from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the Douds Community Center.
Moore was diagnosed two years ago with liver failure. He has spent time in Jefferson County Health Center and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics being treated in various procedures.
Moore is awaiting news on his eligibility to be placed on a liver transplant list.
His various trips and procedures have been physically and financially difficult on Moore and his family.
Moore, his wife Taffa, and their children ask for the public to join them for a benefit which includes a silent auction and a free will donation meal of pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans, rolls and dessert. Beverages also will be provided.
