Bicycle tire artwork class set with Kella J
The Fairfield Art Association announces an unusual class for youth in third through eighth grades using bicycle tires to create artwork.
Just in time for RAGBRAI, the class will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Monday and July 22 at the Fairfield Art Association Studio in the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.
Kella J. Tschopp, the artist known as Kella J, will guide the inventive class, and creations will be displayed during RAGBRAI’s overnight stop in Fairfield on July 26 in the art studio.
Students can attend one or both classes. The daily fee is $10 for art association members and $12 for nonmembers. Participants should pre-register, as class size is limited, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 641-799-3209.
Participants are invited to bring their own bicycles to class as a personalized option, although some wheels/tires will be on hand to use.
