The Birmingham Lions will have a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Birmingham Lions Building. The committee is Morrie Shaw.


The Brannon Haney Legion Post and Ladies Auxiliary will celebrate July Fourth with a picnic at 6:30 p.m. July 9 at the Log Cabin in City Park. Meat will be furnished. Those attending should bring a covered dish to share and their own table service.


The Red Hat Ladies will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. July 9 at the Lunch Box in Douds. To carpool, meet at 10:45 a.m. at the Birmingham Lions Building. The hostesses are Betty Jane Countryman and Arlene Lyon.


The Birmingham Methodist Church board will meet at 7 p.m. July 10 at the church.


The Birmingham Homecoming Committee will not meet in July.


The Birmingham Lions met recently. Don Aldrich installed new officers: Morrie Shaw, president; Stanley Knipfer, first vice president; Kriss Anderson, second vice president; Ann Boley, secretary; Carroll Unkrich, treasurer; Harry Anderson, tail twister; Larry Smith, Lion tamer; Peter Sweedy, Gene Stine and Alice Stortz, directors.

The Stockport United Methodist Church will have services at 9 a.m. on Sundays, beginning Sunday.

Herb Shafer is the new pastor.
