The Birmingham Library Board will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the library.
The Birmingham Homecoming Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Birmingham Lions Building.
Volunteers are needed to help at the Birmingham Library on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The Birmingham Lions’ sandwich and ice cream supper was well attended. The County Round-up furnished the entertainment.

A meeting was held the evening of July 22 at the Stockport Post Office between the U.S. Postal Service and the residents. Postal officials from Cedar Rapids told the residents that the post office window hours at Stockport will be cut down to four hours a day. The window will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday window hours will not change.
The community vacation Bible school started Sunday at Stockport Christian Church, which is the host church this year, with the Stockport United Methodist Church.
This year’s theme is “ZuCamp.” The vacation Bible school will run 6:30-8:30 p.m. through Thursday.
Parents, grandparents and friends are invited to the closing program at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, with s’mores afterwards.
Stockport City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Stockport City Hall. Anyone wishing to address the mayor and city council will need to call city hall at 319-796-2135 24 hours in advance of the meeting to be placed on the agenda.
The annual Stockport BBQ days will be coming up soon.
More information about the event, which includes a barbecued lunch, a parade, contests, a tractor pull and more, will be announced in the next few weeks.
