Blood drives scheduled in Fairfield
The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center has scheduled several area blood drives.
SunnyBrook Home Care Center will host a community blood drive from 1-4 pm. June 3.
Donors who last gave blood on or before April 8 will be eligible to give again at this blood drive. For an appointment, contact Michelle Rauscher at 472-4808 or email@example.com.
Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation will host a community blood drive from 2-7 p.m. June 9 at Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter.
Donors who last gave on or before April 14 will be eligible to give again at this blood drive. For an appointment, call Dawn Safrit at 472-6080.
Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age — 16 with a signed parental permission form available at www.bloodcenter.org — and weigh more than 110 pounds. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure are eligible donors. A photo identification or Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center donor card is required to donate.
According to blood center officials, blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45-to minutes.
Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center provides blood and blood components to more than 87 hospitals in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and Iowa. It is the exclusive provider to Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield and Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
