Blood drives set at FHS, Lockridge
The Fairfield High School student council will host a Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center blood drive from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday in the FHS gym.
Donors can give blood every eight weeks. Those who last gave on or before Oct. 19 are eligible to donate again Friday.
Walk-in donors are welcome, but to make an appointment, call FHS teacher Heidi Grunwald at 472-2059.
Lockridge Fire and Rescue will host a blood drive from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Lockridge Senior Center.
Donors who last gave on or before Oct. 23 are eligible to donate.

Donors must be at least 16 years old, in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. A blood donor card or other photo identification is required to donate. Sixteen-year-old donors must present a signed parental consent form, which are available at www.bloodcenter.org.
The blood center mobile unit drew 18 pints of blood Nov. 21 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building.
The mobile unit drew 16 pints of blood Nov. 28 at the Keosauqua Senior Center.
