Local and area community members are invited to a dedication ceremony of the new Memorial Swinging Bridge in Jefferson County Park. Those attending should meet at the south end of the bridge at 3 p.m. Tuesday; access is by trail from either the playground area of the picnic grounds “at the top of the hill” or from the playground area in the campground. The bridge is the culmination of fund-raising efforts by the Jefferson County Conservation Board, as well as a special recognition and memorial effort on behalf of Ebb Camelin, former park employee, and Ali Moradi, both former local citizens. Those with “Jefferson County Swingers” T-shirts are encouraged to wear them. A few more shirts are for sale at the Jefferson County Park Nature Center.
