Christopher “Chris” Lynn Freeman, 56 of Washington, Illinois, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, in Fairfield.
A celebration of life is set for 11 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rebecca Weltman. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10 a.m. Friday prior to the celebration of life at the funeral home.

Mr. Freeman was born Aug. 2, 1958, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, the son of John Richard “Dick” and Frances “Fran” A. Brown Freeman. He married Gail Chipley Aug. 17, 1984. She survives.
He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1977 and also graduated from Iowa Western College.
Mr. Freeman worked at Rockwell Collins as an electronic technician for 20 years. He later moved to Washington, Illinois.
He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.
Mr. Freeman attended Washington Presbyterian Church.
He was affiliated with Ducks Unlimited.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Justin Freeman of Naperville, Illinois, Kristina Freeman of Cedar Rapids and Kellie Freeman of Denver, Colorado; his parents, of Washington, Illinois; two brothers, Todd Freeman of Anamosa and Eric Freeman of Washington, Illinois; and one sister, Lisa Peiffer of Washington, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Kirk and Greg.
