Congregate Meals: Feb. 11-15, 2013
The Fairfield Senior Citizen Center has listed its menu for the coming week.
Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Fairfield senior center and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Lockridge senior center.
Monday — Salisbury steak with gravy, oven-browned potato, broccoli Normandy, diced peaches and orange juice.
Tuesday — beef and bean vegetable soup, saltine crackers, Orange Surprise Salad, homemade wheat dinner roll, apricot half and a crispy rice bar.
Wednesday — fish square, mashed potatoes, creamed peas andmandarin oranges.
Thursday — roast turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, pears and Valentine’s cookie.
Feb. 15 — tuna noodle casserole, buttered corn, lettuce salad and tropical fruit.
Milk, whole-wheat and whole-grain bread/muffins and margarine are offered with all meals. The menu provides a general balanced diet that meets the RDA’s/RIA’s for adults.
Meals are offered on a contribution basis for persons 60 years of age and older and their spouses of any age. Full cost of meals is: congregate, $5.87; carryout, $6.35; home delivered, $7.73.
Reservations for meals at the Fairfield senior center must be made one day in advance either at the center or by calling 472-4403.

Bingo is played from 12:15-1:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday in Fairfield.
