Congregate Meals: July 7-11, 2014
The Fairfield Senior Citizen Center has listed its menu for the coming week.
Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Fairfield senior center and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Lockridge senior center.
Monday — glazed pork chop, baked fresh sweet potato, broccoli, banana pudding.
Tuesday — chicken salad sandwich with lettuce and tomato slice, potato salad, kale-red onion salad with Italian dressing, cantaloupe, oatmeal-raisin cookie.
Wednesday — pot roast, boiled potatoes, sauteed onions, baby carrots, strawberries, sherbet cup.
Thursday — spaghetti and meat sauce, broccoli and cauliflower, spinach salad with Italian dressing, red banana gelatin.
July 11 — potato-crusted fish fillet, scalloped potatoes, lima beans with corn, orange slices.
Milk, bread or muffins and margarine are offered with all meals.
Meals are offered on a contribution basis. For a person 60 years old or older and his or her spouse of any age, the suggested contribution is $3.50. The suggested contribution a home-delivered meal is $4.
An individual younger than 60 must pay the full cost.
Reservations for the Fairfield senior center must be made one day in advance either at the center or by calling 472-4403.
