Congregate Meals: June 16-20, 2014
The Fairfield Senior Citizen Center has listed its menu for the coming week.
Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Fairfield senior center and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Lockridge senior center.
Monday — ground beef gravy, mashed potatoes, lima beans with corn, strawberries, cookie.
Tuesday — baked chicken, cheesy macaroni salad, steamed kale with garlic, peaches, apple-cinnamon bar.
Wednesday — chef salad with turkey, banana, Cool Pie.
Thursday — salmon patty, baked potato with sour cream, Brussels sprouts, homemade wheat dinner roll, peach crisp.
June 20 — pork cutlet, mashed potatoes, gravy, Tomato Spoon Salad, mandarin oranges, banana pudding.
Meals are offered on a contribution basis. For a person 60 years old or older and his or her spouse of any age, the suggested contribution is $3.50. The suggested contribution for a home-delivered meal is $4.
An individual younger than 60 must pay the full cost of the meal; the cost is posted at the meal site.
Reservations for meals at the Fairfield senior center must be made one day in advance at the center or by calling 472-4403.
