Congregate Meals: June 9-13, 2014
The Fairfield Senior Citizen Center has listed its menu for the coming week.
Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Fairfield senior center and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Lockridge senior center.
Monday — herb chicken breast, scalloped potatoes, asparagus cuts, peach-strawberry-banana medley, ice cream cup.
Tuesday — roast pork, candied sweet potatoes, cheesy steamed cabbage, banana, oatmeal-raisin cookie.
Wednesday — turkey noodle casserole, corn, mixed greens salad with lemon dill dressing, baked apple.
Thursday — roast beef, baked potato with sour cream, spinach, fruit cocktail, gelatin parfait.
June 13 — potato-crusted fish fillet, oven-roasted baby potato, creamed peas, fruited yogurt.
Meals are offered on a contribution basis. For a person 60 years old or older and his or her spouse of any age, the suggested contribution is $3.50. The suggested contribution for a home-delivered meal is $4.
An individual younger than 60 must pay the full cost of the meal; the cost is posted at the meal site.
Reservations for meals at the Fairfield senior center must be made one day in advance at the center or by calling 472-4403.
