Congregate meals: September 26-30, 2016
Fairfield Senior Citizen Center has listed its congregate meals menu for the coming week.
Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Fairfield senior center and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Lockridge senior center.
Monday — pork and cabbage casserole, baked sweet potato, oatmeal-raisin cookie, applesauce, wheat dinner roll, or bread, with margarine.
Tuesday — chicken salad sandwich, potato salad, mixed green lettuce salad, yogurt salad dressing, diced cantaloupe, banana pudding, wheat dinner roll, or bread, with margarine.
Wednesday — pot roast, boiled new potatoes, grilled onions, baby carrots, strawberries, vanilla ice cream, wheat dinner roll, or bread, with margarine.
Thursday — beef macaroni casserole, green peas, spinach-mandarin orange salad, pineapple tidbits, wheat dinner roll, or bread, with margarine.
Sept. 30 — potato-crusted fish fillet, scalloped potatoes, lima beans with corn, orange wedges, wheat dinner roll, or bread, with margarine.
Milk is offered with all meals.
For people 60 years of age and older and their spouse of any age, there is a suggested contribution based on income range. Individuals younger than 60 pay the full meal charge as posted at the meal site.
Reservations for meals at Fairfield must be made one day in advance either at the senior center or by calling 472-4403.

Bingo is played 12:15-1:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Fairfield Senior Citizen Center.
Check at the meal sites for meal options, such as shelf-stable meals or frozen meals, to use on days when no meal is served at the senior citizen center.
