The Fairfield Senior Citizen Center has updated its menu for this week.
Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Fairfield senior center and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Lockridge senior center.
Tuesday — closed for New Year’s Eve.
Wednesday — closed for New Year’s Day.
Thursday — pulled pork on wheat hamburger bun, baked beans, creamed peas, tropical fruit, vegetable juice.
Friday — baked chicken, candied sweet potatoes, broccoli cauliflower and raisin salad, fruit crisp.
Milk, whole-wheat and whole-grain bread or muffins and margarine are offered with all meals.
Frozen or shelf-stable meals are available for evenings, weekends and holidays, such as New Year’s Eve and New Year’s holidays Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meals are offered on a contribution basis. For a person 60 years old or older and his or her spouse of any age, the suggested contribution is $3.50. The suggested contribution a home-delivered meal is $4.
An individual younger than 60 must pay the full cost of the meal; the cost is posted at the meal site.
Reservations for meals at the Fairfield senior center must be made one day in advance either at the center or by calling 472-4403.
