Cookie walk, F.A.C.T. at St. Mary; UMW Christmas tea
Cookie walk, F.A.C.T. play set at St. Mary Church
The Helping Hands group of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church is having its annual cookie walk from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Homemade cookies and candies will be available. Proceeds help the group with parish activities throughout the year.
Also on Saturday, the Fairfield Area Community Theatre is having its final performances of Barbara Robinson’s “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the church’s parish hall.
Father Nick Adam will be joining the cast at both performances.
Doors will open 30 minutes prior to curtain for seating. Tickets will be available at the door, but because of limited seating, F.A.C.T. is suggesting people buy tickets in advance at Josie Hannes Design. Tickets are $5.
Donations of canned goods for The Lord’s Cupboard will be accepted at the performances.
Cookies and punch will be served after the performances.
UMW plans Christmas tea Dec. 14; reservations due
The United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church will host its third annual Christmas Tea at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 14 at the church.
A collection of nativities will be displayed. Fairfield High School choir, under the direction of teacher Zach Rieter, will provide the music.
UMW will serve scones and other finger foods, along with English tea and coffee, but would appreciate reservations in order to know how much to prepare. To make a reservation, call Ferne Lawson at 472-2401 by Saturday.
