County Extension office plans to reshow training programs
Jefferson County ISU Extension will reshow both the commercial and confinement manure applicator programs Feb. 14 at the Jefferson County Extension Office for those who were unable to attend an earlier workshop.
The programs are shown free of charge on the second Friday of each month. Applicators who need to schedule a reshow at any other time will be charged a $10 fee per person.
The Commercial Manure Program, three hours in length, will be shown at 9 a.m., and the Confinement Manure Program, two hours in length, will be shown at 1:30 p.m.
In addition, all Pest Management for the Environment programs will follow a reshow schedule as follows:
• All Commercial Ag, Weed, Insect & Disease Management CIC will be held 9-11:30 a.m. the third Friday of the month beginning in February.
• Ornamental Turf CIC will be from 1-3:30 p.m. the third Friday of the month beginning in April.
• Any other reshows will be held on the fourth Friday of the month. These would be for Roadside, Forest, Aquatic; Seed Treatment; Handlers; Fumigation; Mosquito; Pest Control.
• Aerial and Greenhouse will be the fourth Friday of the month and will not be billed at the late registration amount.
Anyone not able to attend training or those who prefer to retest should schedule an appointment with their Department of Natural Resources ield office to take the certification exam.
