The following court cases were processed at the Jefferson County Courthouse.
Justin Wayne Haile, 20, of Ollie, pleaded guilty to third degree burglary and received a deferred judgment of five years probation. He was fined $750 and ordered to pay a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge, pecuniary damages, court costs and court appointed attorney fees. He also must submit a specimen for DNA profiling.
Amber Marie Timmons, 33, of 200 N. Fourth St., pleaded guilty to third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was sentenced to two years in prison, less credit for time served; her sentence was suspended. She was given two years probation to run concurrent with another case. She was ordered to successfully complete inpatient treatment at MECCA, a community-based substance abuse and behavioral health services or another treatment center. She will reside in jail until space is available at a treatment center. After treatment, she will reside at Ottumwa Residential Correction Facility and participate successfully in the Iowa Eighth Judicial District drug court program. She was fined $625 plus a 35 percent surcharge and $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. She was ordered to pay restitution, court appointed attorney fees and court costs. Another Jefferson County case was dismissed with costs to the defendant.
Rafael Israel Mcanally, 27, of 306 W. Broadway Ave., pleaded guilty to conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine and failure to affix a drug stamp. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison to serve consecutively with another sentence; his sentence was suspended. He was placed on five years probation, fined $1,750 plus a $10 D.A.R.E. surcharge and a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. His drivers license was revoked. He was ordered to pay restitution, court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs.
