The following court case were processed at Jefferson County Courthouse:
Shane Kevin McBride, 25, of 104 ½ N. Court St., pleaded guilty to conspiracy to deliver or possession with intent to deliver heroin. He was given a deferred judgment with five years probation on condition of complying with all treatments and programs recommended by his supervising officer. He was ordered to abstain from using alcohol and all non-prescription controlled substances. He was ordered not to enter taverns, liquor stores and other establishments whose primary activity is the sale of alcohol. He was ordered to pay costs of prosecution, court appointed attorney fees of $200, and fined $1,000. He was ordered to submit a specimen for DNA profiling. Two other cases were dismissed with costs to the defendant.
Andrea Leigh Berry-Fluharty, 30, of 608 W. Jackson Ave., was found in contempt of court for violating probation. She was sentenced to 18 days in jail less credit for time served. Her probation was amended to require she successfully complete a Level 2 Alcohol and Drug Dependency Services program in Mount Pleasant or Burlington. She was ordered to pay court costs, court appointed attorney fees and any other costs.
Joey Lynne Hamilton, 42, of Ottumwa, pleaded guilty and received a deferred judgment for possession of a firearm or offensive weapon by a domestic violence offender. He was placed on three years probation and must comply with evaluation and treatments recommended. He must abstain from alcohol and illegal, controlled substances. He was fined $750 and ordered to pay court costs and court appointed attorney fees if any. He must submit a specimen for DNA profiling.
