The following court cases were processed at Jefferson County Courthouse.

District court

Gregory Scott Robinson, 34, of 202 1/2 N. Ninth St., pleaded guilty to third degree burglary, and received a deferred judgment. He was given five years probation. He was ordered to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow treatment recommendations. He was fined $750 plus a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. He was ordered to pay court costs and court appointed attorney fees of $800. He was ordered to provide a specimen for DNA profiling. Another Jefferson County case was dismissed with costs to the defendant.

Samantha Lou Brown, 28, of 205 1/2 S. Main St., pleaded guilty to obtaining prescription drugs or a device by deceit and received a deferred judgment. She was placed on five years probation. She was fined $1,000 plus a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. She was ordered to pay court costs and court appointed attorney fees of $1,000. She was ordered to provide a specimen for DNA profiling. Two more Jefferson County cases were dismissed with costs to the defendant.

Junior Elmer Cook, 30, of Birmingham, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal mischief, a serious misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, which was suspended. He was placed on two years probation, fined $315 plus a 35 percent surcharge and a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. He was ordered to pay restitution, court appointed attorney fees if any and courts costs. He was ordered to be fingerprinted if none are on file.
