The following court cases were processed at Jefferson County Courthouse:


District Court

Vera Elizabeth Rhodes, 61, of Fairfield, received an order of modified probation. Probation entered May 2, 2011, will continue, modified so she is required to reside at a residential correctional facility for 365 days and held in jail until space is available. She was ordered to pay court costs.

Natel was convicted of contempt of court for its willful failure to comply with terms of a March 25, 2013, Clinton County subpoena. Natel was fined $500 and ordered to pay court costs.

Gregory Scott Robinson, 34, of Fairfield had a probation violation and was found in contempt of court. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail less credit for time served (30 days). He was ordered to continue probation, pay court costs and court appointed attorney fees if any.

Magistrate Court

Tyler John Fulton, 28, of Mt. Pleasant, pleaded guilty to public intoxication and was fined $208.

Dawn Denise Dunn, 38, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was fined $148.

Associate District Court

Vera Elizabeth Rhodes, 61, of Fairfield, pleaded guilty to prostitution, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was sentenced to two years in prison, less credit for time served. Her sentence was suspended. She was placed on probation for two years and ordered to live in a residential correctional facility for 365 days or until maximum benefits have been achieved. This sentence is to be served concurrent with another sentence. She was fined $625 plus a 35 percent surcharge; her fines were suspended. She was ordered to pay court costs and court appointed attorney fees. She was ordered to be fingerprinted if none are on file with law enforcement.

Heather Michelle Phillips, 22, of Fairfield, pleaded guilty and received a deferred judgment for false reports to public safety entities, a serious misdemeanor. She was placed on two years probation, fined $315 and ordered to pay restitution, court costs and court appointed attorney fees if any. She was ordered to be fingerprinted if none are on file with law enforcement.

Emma Jean Welcher, 48, of Mt. Pleasant, pleaded guilty and received a deferred judgment of possession of hydrocodone, a Schedule II controlled substance, first offense, a serious misdemeanor. She was placed on two years probation, fined $315 plus a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. She was ordered to pay court appointed attorney fees if any and courts costs. She was ordered to be fingerprinted if none are on file with law enforcement. A charge of fifth-degree theft was dismissed with costs to the defendant per a plea agreement.
