DISTRICT COURT

Ashley Jane Vaughn, 22, of 907 W. Jefferson Ave., pleaded guilty and received a deferred judgment for possession of a precursor with intent to use product to manufacture a controlled substance, methamphetamine. She was given three years probation and ordered to comply with evaluation and/or treatment recommended by the Eighth Judicial District Department of Correction Services. She was ordered to perform 80 hours of community service; pay court costs, court appointed attorney fees if any, a $750 fine and $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. She was ordered to submit a specimen for DNA profiling.

Shawn Allen Spragno, 23, of Oskaloosa, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine less than 5 grams. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, fined $1,000 plus a 35 percent surcharge. All charges were suspended and he was placed on five years probation and ordered to comply with evaluation treatment recommended by the Department of Corrections. He was ordered to pay $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. His driver’s license was revoked for 180 days. He was ordered to submit a specimen for DNA profiling.

Larry Dean Dysin II, 36, of 2484 Highway 1, pleaded guilty to third degree burglary. He was sentenced to five years in prison to serve concurrent with a sentence imposed in Nicollet County, Minn. He was fined $750 plus a 35 percent surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and ordered to pay restitution and court costs. He must observe a five-year no contact order and submit a specimen for DNA profiling.

Stacie Marie Reid, 32, of 701 E. Lowe Ave., No. 204, was ordered to prison for probation violation and ordered to serve time not to exceed 10 years for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and time not to exceed five years for forgery. The prison sentences will run consecutively.

 

ASSOCIATE DISTRICT COURT

Shane Thomas Willard, 39, of Richland, entered a guilty plea to possession of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, and a serious misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, which was suspended. He was placed on two years probation. He was ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and follow the recommendations. His license was revoked for 180 days. He was fined $315 plus a 35 percent surcharge, a $10 DARE surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge, and ordered to pay restitution, court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs.

Gregory Scott Robinson, 33, of 51 S. Maple St., entered a guilty plea to possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, which was suspended. He was placed on two years probation, ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and follow the recommendations. His license was revoked for 180 days. He was fined $315 plus a 35 percent surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and ordered to pay court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs.

George E. Tann, 91, of Batavia, pleaded guilty to driving while barred. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, which was suspended. He was placed on two years probation, fined $625 plus 35 percent surcharge, $10 DARE and $125 law enforcement initiative surcharges. He was ordered to pay court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs.

 

MAGISTRATE COURT

Sarah Alise Vaughn 23, of 606 W. Monroe Ave., Apt. 2, entered a guilty plea to fighting or violent behavior in public. She was fined $147.50.

Tiffany Sue Houser, 36, of 805 W. Broadway Ave., was given a deferred judgment for obstructing victim’s ability to make emergency communication. She was placed on six months probation, ordered to pay court costs and a $65 fine.

Gregory Thomas Lane, 27, of 505 W. Madison Ave., entered a guilty plea to public consumption or intoxication. He was fined $147.50.

Sherrie Ann Benedict, 30, of 1300 W. Jackson Ave., entered a guilty plea for fighting in public. She was sentenced to one day in jail, which was suspended, and fined $60.

Nicholas Wesley Hill, 20, of 700 W. Broadway Ave., entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of disorderly conduct. A contempt charge was dismissed. He was fined $207.50, ordered to complete a batterer’s education program within eight months and comply with a no contact order.

Brook Ann Stagers, 20, of Lockridge pleaded guilty to an amended charge of disorderly conduct. She was fined $147.50 and ordered to complete an anger management course within four months.

Scotimay Olive Small, 18, of 200 N. 28th St., No. 57, entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of disorderly conduct and was fined $147.50.
