The following courts cases were processed at the Jefferson County Clerk of Court’s office.

 

Magistrate Court

William Burton Richardson, 68, of 3305 W. Jefferson Ave, pleaded guilty to third degree harassment. He was fined $200 plus a 35 percent surcharge and must observe a No Contact order for five years.

Renee Lynn Hill, 39, of Packwood, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. She was fined $65 plus a 35 percent surcharge.

Sachin Sunil Kapoor pleaded guilty to trespass and was fined $65 plus a 35 percent surcharge. He was sentenced to five days in jail, which was suspended. He was placed on six months of probation and ordered to make no entry onto the campus of Maharishi University of Management.

William Heath Nevins, 21, of 1642 187th St., pleaded guilty to an amended charge of disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to two days in jail, which was suspended. He was ordered to enroll and complete a Batterer’s Education Program within nine months.

Amber Jo Dye, 27, of 904 W. Harrison Ave., No. 16, pleaded guilty to trespass and was fined $100 plus a 35 percent surcharge.

Martin Jay Stagers, 23, of Lockridge pleaded guilty to simple assault, a simple misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail less credit for time served, all but two days was suspended. He was fined $65 plus a 35 percent surcharge. He was ordered to pay restitution, court costs and court appointed attorney fees if any.

 

District court

Casey James Robert Griffin, 22, of 2323 Highway 1, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. He was given a deferred judgment, placed on probation for five years, fined $1,000 plus a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and ordered to pay court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs.

Travis Edward Kraft, 23, of 410 1/2 N. Main St., pleaded guilty to conspiracy to deliver marijuana, a Class D felony and was given a deferred judgment, placed on five years probation, fined $750 plus a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge, ordered to pay court costs and court appointed attorney fees if any and submit a specimen for DNA profiling.

Kyle Joseph Tramontana, 18, of 206 W. Jefferson Ave., had his probation revoked for failure to successfully complete an ordered program and a mittimus was issued immediately to serve his original prison term, not to exceed five years.

Vera Elizabeth Rhodes, 60, of 201 W. Adams Ave., was found in contempt and sentenced to 10 days in jail.

 

Associate District Court

William Joseph Valdez III, 21, of 506 South D St., pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated, first offense, a serious misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, less credit for time served. The sentence is to run concurrently with a Wapello County sentence. All but two days of jail were suspended and he was placed on two years probation. His license was revoked. He was ordered to successfully complete a drinking drivers course, complete a substance abuse evalution within 45 days and follow all recommendations. He was fined $1,250 plus a 35 percent surcharge, $10 DARE surcharge and ordered to pay restitution, court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs.

Carol Florence Negro, 60, of Libertyville, pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated, second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail, less credit for time served. All but seven days were suspended; work release was allowed. She was placed on two years probation, her license was revoked and she cannot sell, purchase or register any vehicle during the 180-day revocation. She was ordered to complete a drinking drivers course and a substance abuse evaluation within 45 days. She was fined $1,875 plus a 35 percent surcharge, a $10 DARE surcharge and ordered to pay restitution, court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs.

Jessica Nichole Luke, 27, of 200 N. 285th St., No. 37, pleaded guilty to carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail, less credit for time served. Her sentence was suspended and she was given two years probation. She was ordered to have a substance abuse evaluation within 45 days, her license was revoked for 180 days, she was fined $315 plus a 35 percent surcharge, a $10 DARE surcharge and a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge. She was ordered to pay court costs and court appointed attorney fees if any.

Tina Louis Graham, 26 of 200 N. 28th St. No. 75, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail less credit for time served. Her sentence was suspended. She was placed on two years probation and ordered to get a substance abuse evaluation within 45 days. Her license was revoked for 180 days. She was fined $315 plus a 35 percent surcharge, a $10 DARE surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and ordered to pay court appointed attorney fees if any and court costs.

Michael Matthew Harrigan, 55 of Des Moines pleaded guilty to two counts of third degree theft, aggravated misdemeanors. He was sentenced to two years of prison on each count, which was suspended. He was given four years probation, fined $625 for each count plus a 35 percent surcharge, $125 law enforcement initiative for each count and ordered to pay restitution, court appointed attorney fees and court costs.
