Crew collects 40 pints of blood at two events
The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center mobile crew drew 40 pints of blood at recent blood drives.
Eighteen pints of blood were collected June 27 at the Birmingham Lions Building in Birmingham.
Twenty-two pints of blood were drawn July 1 at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.
According to the blood center officials, one pint of blood can help save the lives of up to three patients, and one out of every five people entering the hospital will need blood products.
