CANTON, Mo. — Karen Livesay, Culver-Stockton College sophomore business major from Mount Sterling, recently completed an internship with Midwest Marketing and Management in Mount Sterling.
During the internship, Livesay spent her time organizing marketing efforts for a small family-owned business, gaining direct knowledge of agronomy with business and marketing services and learning more about market conditions for agriculture-related businesses.
Culver-Stockton College offers two types of internships to students: professional and exploratory. Professional internships focus on students gaining skills in a field of study they have already chosen, while exploratory internships focus on students learning more about an industry to be better able to choose their area of study. Livesay’s internship was Professional.
