De Bortoli grateful for help with April Art Walk, previews next week’s Art Walk
Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk is grateful to everyone who participated in the April 4 “Sing in Spring” Art Walk which captured the diversity and creativity of song through showcasing a variety of vocal talent at six venues around the square.
A huge thank you goes to our April event sponsor, Radiance Dairy, who has always been a strong supporter of creativity and artistic expression in Fairfield and a long-time supporter of Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk.
A warm thank you goes to our vocal talent for contributing their voices to the event. Thank you Ingrid Best for your sultry performance at ILA. We have much appreciation for Ulrike Selleck for her enchanting arias and Lise Marcell for accompanying her on piano at Americus Diamond.
Gratitude goes out to Keith DeBoer at Café Paradiso for organizing the singer-songwriter performers Jenn Trimpe, Tom Todar, Astred Griffin Doud, Shane Orne and Rebecca Haven. A hearty thank you goes to singer-songwriter Tom Allen and also the Headin’ Home Quartet who enthralled us with their smooth harmonies at the Landmark Inn. Attendees were also delighted by the performance of the Chamber Singers of southeast Iowa at the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Last but not least we were very grateful to enjoy the sweet melodies of the Prairie Harmony Singers of SE Iowa at Fairfield Nutrition.
Attendees of “Sing in Spring” were charmed and enthralled with the variety of vocal talent. We had wonderful weather and a great turn out for this spring Art Walk.
We also want to share our gratitude to all the volunteers and supporters who came to help and support Art Walk last Friday: Novena Cole, Chenoa Cole, Don Hoelting, Randy Small, Deana Julsen, Eric Randall, John Freeberg, Megan Harris, Tammy Shull, Holland Webb, Sheila Peck, Rick Peck, Diana Fern & Family, Anastasia Hirschman, Randy Small, Chris Haggard and June Lowenberg.
We are always looking for volunteers for Art Walk. This is a great opportunity for individuals, service organizations and businesses to come and support our community by making these events bigger and better. We will be needing volunteers for May and June, so please don’t be shy, contact us and volunteer! It’s a great way to socialize, meet new people and support your community all at the same time! Art Walk is for everyone, so be a part of it and volunteer!
Next month’s Art Walk will honor the art of dance with the theme “Dance: Art in Motion.” This Art Walk will not only offer a choice selection of dance performances to view but will also give the attendee an opportunity to put on dancing shoes and join the fun!
Final thanks go out to all of the businesses that are sponsoring and supporting Art Walk. We encourage local companies and individuals to keep supporting Art Walk because when you support Art Walk you are supporting the entire community.
Last but not least, Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk wants to thank the community as a whole for attending this Art Walk and all other Art Walk events. Without your community support, Art Walk would not be what it is.
