Dimmitt responsive to residents’ questions
To the editor and voters of Jefferson County:
With slightly less than a month until the election, it is time to look seriously at the choices we as residents of Jefferson County have to make. We have four candidates running for two seats on the county Board of Supervisors. It is vitally important that we retain Lee Dimmitt as one of our supervisors. He has been on the job working for us for eight years. He understands the complexities of the job. It is not merely one meeting a week, over and done.
Lee has worked tirelessly for us. He is accessible; if you call him and ask questions he does get back to you. If he isn’t sure about the issue, he researches it in as much depth as possible, and answers your questions and concerns. Now is not the time to throw everything out for “new blood.” There will be one new supervisor on the board.
Please, consider your choices, and darken the oval next to Lee Dimmitt’s name on Nov. 8.
– Carol M. Carlson, Jefferson County
[editor’s note: county voters will elect two of the four candidates to fill the two seats up for re-election, the seat currently held by Lee Dimmitt and the one held by Becky Schmitz, who is not seeking re-election.]
