Dolores J. “Cub” Vannoy, 82, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 1:10 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Vannoy was born Aug. 10, 1930, in Washington County the daughter of Paul and Marie Snyder Leeper. She married Richard Vannoy Feb. 15, 1948. He died Nov. 17, 1992.

She was a dietitian at Pekin High School for more than 20 years. She also worked at the Stockport Senior Site and at Ottumwa Country Club.

She was a member of Davis St. Christian Church, Christian Women’s Fellowship, the Fifty-Two Club and the Kroney Krew.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan Miller and Barbara Allison both of Ottumwa and Mary Snoddy of Vancouver, Wash.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Rex Leeper and one sister, Pauline Harreld.
