Novena Cole, director of accounting at Hawthorne Direct, presents a donation to Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation CCSNAP Director Janet Mullen and shelter dog Jack to assist with the shelter’s CCSNAP program costs. CCSNAP provides discounts to local pet owners who need financial assistance to spay and neuter their pets. According to Noah’s Ark officials, the number of homeless pets has dramatically decreased since the start of CCSNAP. Donations to CCSNAP help support the cost of surgery provided by veterinarians, as well as medical supplies used. CCSNAP is available to Jefferson County residents, and when funding permits, to adjacent counties including Van Buren, Davis, Henry, Wapello, Keokuk and Washington.
