The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.

The Dean’s List recognizes academic achievement during the term. AMES — More than 6,669 Iowa State University undergraduates have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the 2012 fall semester Dean’s List.

DECORAH — Alex Greiner, a Luther College junior from Fairfield, has been named to the 2012 fall semester Dean’s List.
Greiner is the son of Michael and Michele Greiner.
To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must complete at least 12 credit hours with 10 hours of conventional grades — A, B, C, D.
SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY
BROOKINGS, S.D. — Dane Patrick Kool of Fairfield was a candidate for graduation after the fall 2012 session at South Dakota State University.
Kool earned a Bachelor of Science in arts and sciences.
Dr. Kari N. Haislet graduated with high honors in December from Chatham University with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree.
Haislet’s work focused on heart failure and re-admission rates. Her capstone project was titled “Implementation of an evidenced-based CHF Discharge Support Program: A project to reduce re-admissions.”
Haislet has worked at Cedar Valley Medical Specialists, Department of Cardiology, in Waterloo since 1997. She lives in Denver, Iowa, with her husband Mike and their three children.
Her parents are Doug and Wanda Bagby of Fairfield.
