Drives net 120 pints of blood
Results have been listed from five recent Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center blood drives.
The mobile unit drew 27 pints of blood Sept. 17 at St. Mary Catholic Church.
The unit drew 25 pints of blood Sept. 26 at the Keosauqua Senior Citizen Center.
The unit drew nine pints of blood Sept. 26 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building.
The mobile unit drew 39 pints of blood Oct. 9 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building.
The mobile unit drew 20 pints of blood Oct. 11 at Maharishi University of Management.
According to the blood center, one pint of blood can help save the lives of up to three people, and one out of every five people entering a hospital will need blood products.
Donors can give blood every eight weeks.
