EMT visiting summer reading program
RICHLAND — The Richland Public Library’s summer reading program will offer an opportunity for participants to get an up-close tour of an ambulance and learn about safety from a local EMT from 3-4 p.m. July 16 at the library.
The visit with the emergency medical technician will be followed by stories, games, crafts and a snack from 4-4:45 p.m.
The program is geared for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Preschool children can attend if accompanied by an adult caregiver.
The Richland library will show a family movie rated G or PG and provide a snack from 3-4:45 p.m. Friday. The movie is for family members of all ages, but an adult caretaker must accompany children younger than 6. Call the library at 319-456-6541 for additional information, and check The Ledger each week for upcoming programs.
