Final performance

Vibrophonist Mike Dillon of the New Orleans-based Mike Dillon Band, along with members of five other bands which played FAIRfest ’14 over the weekend, give a raucus close to the music fest which saw attendance numbers of 7,000 to 8,000, on both Friday and Saturday nights, according to initial estimates. Held at various venues, but mostly at the main festival stage in front of the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center, rain did little to dampen the enthusiasm of the performers or the crowd on Sunday as all performances moved indoors to the center’s atrium and Sondheim center.

Standing ovation

The FAIRfest ’14 crowd gives The Pines indie rock band of Minneapolis a standing ovation at the close to the music fest Sunday. Rain did little to dampen the enthusiasm of the performers or the crowd Sunday as all performances moved indoors to the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center’s Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts and the center’s atrium.
