Fairfield High School fall camps, physical night planned
Fairfield football camp to begin Monday evening
The Fairfield High School football team will begin its season Monday with football camp.
The camp is for grades 9-12 and will run 6-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The cost of the camp is $40 and each camper will receive a T-shirt. If any family has more than one child participating in the camp, the cost of each additional child is only $25.
Campers will only need to wear shorts, cleats and a T-shirt to camp. A registration form must be filled out and either brought to camp on the first night or mailed to head coach Mike Schenck’s home at 2591 Glascow Road, Fairfield IA, 52556.
Middle school football camp will begin at a later date.
In addition to camp, Danielle Hill, the head of Impact Sports, will be conducting high school football strength workouts from 7:30-8:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in the high school gymnasium. These workouts are free and highly encouraged by the coaching staff.

Volleyball camp to begin Monday
Fairfield High School volleyball camp will run from 8:30-noon Monday through Friday.
The camp is for grades 8-12 and will cost $50 per camper. Campers can pay the morning of the first camp or can pay through the Fairfield Park and Recreation Department.
This camp is open not only to Fairfield students, but also those who attend surrounding high schools.
Physicals to be conducted at discounted cost
Fairfield Clinic and Medical Arts Clinic will be offering $25 physicals starting Monday.
High school boys can get a physical from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday. Middle school boys can get one directly after. This same schedule will be held for girls on Tuesday.
Each student must receive a current physical before participating in fall athletics. If an athlete is not able to attend these sessions, he/she must make their own doctor’s appointment in order to get a physical.
