Fairfield JV handles Keokuk
The junior varsity Trojan softball team has been on a roll recently.
The Trojan Orange team defeated Keokuk twice Friday. Fairfield won game 1 9-0 and game 2 by a score of 12-5.

Brynna Bowman was nearly unhittable from the pitching rubber as she held the Chiefs to three hits, two walks and one hit batter while striking out 10.
Caytlyn Nystrom was hit by a pitch, walked, singled and drove in two. Lindsey Repp singled, stole two bases, scored a run and batted in one. Baylee Bowman singled and had an RBI.
Aspen Bowman singled and scored. Madison Mineart doubled and was hit by a pitch. Pinch runner Ashlyn Elmore stole two bases and scored twice. Kylee Marlay singled, scored twice and had an RBI.
FAIRFIELD 12, KEOKUK 5
Fairfield jumped on the Chiefs early with six runs in the first inning. The Trojans added four in the third and two in the fourth to seal the victory.
Delaney Neil threw six innings and surrendered seven hits and one walk while striking out four.
Marlay doubled, got an RBI and scored once. Jasmine Elmore picked up a single, double, RBI and a run. Neil had two hits, scored a run and drove in one. Bowman scored and batted in a run. Repp singled, doubled, scored and stole a base.
