The Fairfield Police Department reported a Fairfield man was stabbed during a robbery Saturday evening.
The law enforcement dispatch received a call at 6:50 p.m. Saturday about a male who had been stabbed. Upon investigating, police confirmed a robbery occurred at 901 W. Grimes Ave.
The three suspects, Dustin Roll, 24, Dawn Dunn, 38, and Brett Hedblade, 44, pulled the victim Darren Goodwin, 24, into an apartment at the residence.
All list Fairfield addresses, but only Dunn lives at 901 W. Grimes Ave.
The press release indicated Goodwin was assaulted, stabbed and robbed inside the apartment.
Fairfield Police Capt. David Thomas, reporting officer, said some type of property was stolen from Goodwin.
“Drugs were not involved,” said Thomas. “The investigation is still continuing.”
Goodwin was transported to Jefferson County Health Center emergency room for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries.
All three suspects were charged with willful injury, a Class D felony; and first-degree robbery, a Class B felony.
Dunn also was charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief, a simple misdemeanor.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
