Fairfield men arrested for heroin distribution; third man sought
Two Fairfield men have been arrested and a third man is wanted by authorities on heroin-related charges.
Isaac Reynolds Knight, age 32, of 808 W. Washington Ave., was arrested Wednesday. He is charged with conspiracy to deliver less than 100 grams of heroin, a class C felony, and ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony. Knight is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
Kyle Ehret Connelly, age 27, of 1547 Olive Ave., was arrested Nov. 6. He also is charged with conspiracy to deliver less than 100 grams of heroin, a class C felony. Connelly has posted bond and is free on bail.
A third defendant in the case, Shane Kevin McBride, age 24, of Fairfield, is currently wanted by authorities on heroin-related distribution charges. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of McBride is encouraged to contact their local police department with the information.
The arrests were made after officers from the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office initiated a heroin distribution case in July in Jefferson County and Fairfield.
Agencies that assisted in the investigation include the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson County Attorney’s Office, 8th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services, the Fairfield Police Department and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
Residents are reminded a criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
