Fairfield soccer players make All-Conference team
The 2014 All-Southeast Conference soccer teams have been announced.
On the girls’ side, Huma Liptak, Katie Bell, Claudia Sloat and Erica Winslow each made the All-Conference team.
Liptak led the Trojans with 27 goals on the season. The Trojans three goals combined in their two regional playoff games, and all three were scored by the Fairfield senior. She also finished the year with six assists.
Sloat scored 13 times and made six assists in her senior campaign. Also a senior, Winslow had three goals and 13 assists. Bell, just a sophomore, had two assists and made an impact on the defensive end of the field.
Keri Schwarz and Sidney Adam both made the honorable mention team.
The girls that made the conference All-Academic team are Liptak, Sloat, Winslow, Adam, Schwarz, Tracy Andermann, Elaine Brandt, Alyssa Murphy, Valerie Payne, Furi Sloan and Meredith Wallerich.
As for the boys, Solomon Constant was named Southeast Conference Player of the Year. Constant finished the season with 27 goals and seven assists.
Austin Lauderman and Seikh Saine both made the All-Conference team.
Lauderman split time between playing in the field and playing goalie. He scored four goals and had nine assists. In net he finished the year with a 91 percent save percentage. Saine scored three goals and had seven assists.
Niko Thiel and Davin Titus both received honorable mention recognition.
Saine, Thiel, Titus, Zach Smith and Alex Hoffman made the All-Academic team.
