FHS art show at convention center
The Fairfield Art Association announces the “Fairfield High School Annual Visual Art Exhibit 2013” will open Friday in the Main Gallery at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.
The exhibit opens during the Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk, with a reception for the artists and families from 6-8 p.m.
More than 100 pieces from about 85 students, ranging in mediums, will be on display.
The artwork was developed in the 2012-13 academic year under the guided instruction of art educator and artist David Kraemer.
The student visual artists will exhibit their two- and three-dimensional art forms during the entire month of April.
In addition, for Friday evening only, a separate display of art is planned in the Fairfield Art Association Studio by adult students taking the weekend Pastel Portrait Workshop by Cecile Houel. Works started or completed in the class that day will be exhibited for viewing.
The studio sales gallery also will be open Friday evening.
