FHS library announces winners

The Fairfield High School Library staff has announced the prize drawing winners for the Vampire Valentine’s Day reading program.

Six students participated in the program with 13 entries.

Madison Brokken won the senior class grand prize of show tickets from Fairfield Arts & Convention Center and a gift card from ILA Restaurant.

Amanda Elkins won the underclassman grand prize of show tickets from Fairfield Arts & Convention Center and a gift card from Revelations Café and Bookstore. She also won three free games from Flamingo Lanes.

Holly McCoy won three free yoga classes from Open Space Studio.

Christopher VanHemert won three free games from Flamingo Lanes.

Jenna Nelson won a gift card from Family Video.

FHS students who checked out and read “Books with Bite” entered for a chance to win the prizes donated by Fairfield businesses.

Aiyanna Looney, the FHS library teacher, said the library thanks the business owners who donated to the program.

“Because of you, we were able to encourage students to read,” she said.
