FHS Pops Concert rescheduled
Due to weather conditions, the Fairfield High School 10th-12th Pops Concert has been rescheduled for 7:30 p.m. March 12 in the FHS Auditorium.
The Freshman Pops Concert, which was scheduled for March 12, has been moved to March 19.
The 10th-12th grade concert will feature a wide variety of music from early jazz to today’s hits performed by several of Fairfield’s talented students.
The 10th-12th Concert Band will perform music from the movies and more.
Next to take the stage: The Fairfield Brass and Electric Jazz Band.
The vocal portion will begin with all of the vocal ensembles. The GYZ will perform “Star Wars: John Williams is the Man.” The GRLZ will perform “Mama Who Bore Me” from the musical “Spring Awakening.” The Raw Notes will perform “The Spiderman Theme.” Jazz Ex will perform “Lullaby of Birdland” and “The Golden Rule.”
To finish the concert, the large choirs will take the stage. The Combo Choir will start with “Sing” by My Chemical Romance. Then, “Bring Me to Life” by Evanescence, “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor and “Drops of Jupiter” by Train.
Last, Vox will perform its entirely acapella set with “I Got the Music in Me” from “The Sing-Off,” the men singing “Grace Kelly” by Mika, the women singing “Grenade” by Bruno Mars, “A Kiss from a Rose” by Seal and “Everybody Talks” by Neon Trees.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Activities passes are accepted.
