Fairfield Fire Department responded with a thermal imager and eight firefighters at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday to assist police, sheriff’s office and EMS search for a missing person around 185th Street and Woodland Drive. Sheriff Gregg Morton said today the person was located about two hours into the search and had not been injured. He could not release any more details because of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, HIPAA privacy rules. Firefighters returned to the station at 8:50 p.m.

The fire department responded to an automatic alarm at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Washington Elementary School and returned to the station at 10:08 a.m.
