Fairfield Fire Department responded to an alarm at 1:11 a.m. Sunday at Curves at Second Street and Burlington Avenue. The alarms was called in as a smoke detector going off, but it turned out to be trash on fire in a dumpster. Firefighters extinguished the fire with water.
