Fitness Boot Camp begins May 7
The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department announces a Fitness Boot Camp for males and females from 6:30-7:30 p.m. beginning May 7 and running through July 19.
On day one, participants will meet at Roosevelt Community Recreation Center, and other workout locations will be announced later. The program will be on Tuesday and Friday nights only.
The program is an initial basic physical fitness training and basic instruction that focuses on getting into shape quickly. Exercises include cardiovascular training, speed and endurance, partner resistance, strength training, dumbbells, medicine ball drills, plyometric drills, box drills, obstacle courses and much more.
Designed for no more than 12 participants, each participant will receive an opportunity to achieve a healthy body through daily personal accountability and weekly group accountability.
Instructors are Jennifer Osby and Rachel Popejoy.
The fee for participation is $60 for one day a week and $80 for two days a week.
