FMS boys split games
BURLINGTON — Steeler Higdon and Kolten Webber both hit double figures, and the FMS seventh-grade ‘A’ team rolled to a 33-22 victory over Aldo Leopold Tuesday in Burlington.
Webber had a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards, and Higdon tallied 11 points, six rebounds and four steals. James Lyman finished with nine points and four steals, Blu Schultz had four points and four dimes, and Hunter Drish added two steals.
Both the Fairfield ‘B’ and ‘C’ squads fell. The ‘B’ team dropped a 16-7 game to Aldo Leopold, and the ‘C’ team was edged 17-15.
The Trojans have a week off for Thanksgiving before hosting Keokuk on Nov. 26.
Trojans play Monday
FORT MADISON — The Fairfield seventh-grade boys’ basketball team earned one win in two tries vs. Fort Madison on Monday.
The Fairfield ‘A’ squad fell 35-22 to Fort Madison, while the ‘B’ team topped the Bloodhounds 30-21.
Fairfield’s Kolten Webber provided 18 points and 10 rebounds in ‘A’ action. James Lyman dished three assists to go with three steels, and Steeler Higdon pulled down four rebounds.
In the ‘B’ game, Aaron Haines led the Trojans with 10 points and Michael Flournoy scored eight. Stetson Speas added four points.
