FMS honors November Students of Month
Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School Students of the Month award.
The purpose of the award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school, which range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.
The fifth-grade Students of the Month for November are Isabel Allen and Matthew Swanson.
According to Isabel Allen’s certificate, she is a very hard worker and stays on task to complete her work in class and outside of school. She is always prepared and brings her homework back on time. She works well with others in her class and tries hard at everything she does. Matthew Swanson’s certificate states he is a great friend to all of his classmates, working collaboratively with different students on every project. He is a leader when needed and is good at listening to and incorporating others’ ideas. He is a hard worker and follows all directions, even when he’s not asked.
The sixth grade team announces Garrett Ward and Olivia Roberts as the November Students of the Month.
According to Garrett Ward’s certificate, he has made a seamless transition to sixth grade. He is a quiet leader in the classroom and is very willing to help other students. He has a strong work ethic and strives for his best in everything he does. Ward is involved in many extra-curricular activities, but always puts his academics first. He adds a lot of interesting insights during class discussion.
Olivia Roberts’s certificate states she is a very conscientious student and exemplifies Trojan Pride. She is a hard-working, self-motivated student who goes above and beyond. She is always willing to work with any students in a group setting and help them whenever needed.
The seventh grade Students of the Month for November are Taylor Blomme and Jesse Birlson.
According to Taylor Blomme’s certificate, she has a very positive outlook. She is not afraid to be wrong and is willing to take risks. She is a very empathetic young woman who treats her classmates with respect and goes out of her way to help them. She is always willing to help out in the classroom and helps to keep the classroom environment inviting and organized.
Jesse Birlson’s certificate states he is a conscientious student, who is also very responsible in his daily actions. He has a positive outlook and a great sense of humor. He is always willing to help his fellow classmates and is good about making the right decisions in a given situation.
The eighth grade Students of the Month for November are Nichole Septer and Navin Martin.
According to Nichole Septer’s certificate, she is a motivated student with a positive attitude. She is responsible, respectful and a hard worker. She always follows Trojan Pride in her daily actions, and therefore, sets a wonderful example for others.
Navin Martin’s certificate states that with his positive attitude and ethic for hard work, he consistently puts forth quality in his assignments. His classmates and teachers can rely on him for cooperation and assistance. Responsibility and dependability also describe him.
