FMS honors Students of Month for December

Each school month, Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School Students of the Month award acknowledging positive contributions of students ranging from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom.

Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.

Claire Epperson has been selected as a fifth-grade Student of the Month for December. According to her certificate, “Claire is extremely hard working and determined in class. No matter what the task, she always goes above and beyond expectations. She is a deep thinker who is not afraid to give her answer, even when she knows her peers may not agree. Claire has a unique sense of humor that contributes to her enjoyable personality. Her willingness to always make the right choices and give nothing less than her best in all that she does makes Claire the perfect fit for this award.”

Blake Vice has been chosen as a fifth-grade December Student of the Month. His certificate states, “Blake is always kind and helpful to his fellow classmates. He works very hard and always tries his best. He strives to give 100 percent all the time. His great attitude and personality help liven up the day. Blake displays Trojan PRIDE in and out of the classroom.”

Konnor Burkhart is a sixth-grade Student of the Month for December. His certificate states, “Konnor displays the great Trojan PRIDE quality of respect each and every day, in and out of the classroom. He is a conscientious student who tries his best, and is kind and considerate to others. His effort in the classroom is greatly appreciated by his teachers.”

Grace Stever is a sixth-grade December Student of the Month. Her certificate states, “Grace goes above and beyond what is expected and is a very conscientious student.She is willing to help other students.Her teachers appreciate the effort Grace puts forth each day. She exemplifies Trojan PRIDE on a daily basis.”

Blair Bowman is a seventh-grade Student of the Month for December. Her certificate states, “Blair is a very responsible student, who works hard in class and uses her time extremely well. She always has her work done on time and is meticulous in her quality of her work. Blair has a positive and upbeat personality, and is also a high quality role model.”

Cole Engle is a seventh-grade Student of the Month for December. His certificate states, “Cole works very hard and always has a positive attitude. Cole has a quality of persistence that relates to his learning, and it is paying off. Cole asks good questions in class, and has a great sense of humor. Cole is a quality person, who sets a good example for peers to follow.”

Shanti Williams is an eighth-grade Student of the Month for December. Her certificate states, “Shanti is always respectful in class and participates in discussions, asking important questions and working hard to understand material. Shanti consistently gives her very best effort on assignments, often going well above and beyond expectations. Shanti gets along with everyone in class. Teachers know they can count on her to be an example of Trojan PRIDE to her peers.”

Bowen Richmond is an eighth-grade Student of the Month for December. His certificate states, “Bowen is an extremely hard working young man, not only in the classroom, but as a cross-country runner as well. He knows how to stay focused to complete a task on time and to the best of his ability. He is a great classroom leader with enough confidence to ask those difficult questions that will increase the depth of his understanding. He works well both independently and with his classmates. Bowen truly knows how to model Trojan PRIDE.”
