FMS honors Students of Month

Fairfield Middle School and Fairfield Elks Lodge have announced the Students of the Month for October.

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the middle school’s Students of the Month award. The purpose of the award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom.

The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team

Maddie Jones has been selected as an October Student of the Month for fifth grade. Her certificate states, “Maddie is a great example of Trojan PRIDE. She strives to do her best. She is kind and always tries to do the right thing. She quickly volunteers to help out in the classroom and is always willing to work with others. Maddie brings a positive attitude and a strong work ethic into everything she does.”

Cooper Polonsky has been chosen as an October Student of the Month for fifth grade. His certificate states, “Cooper is always on task during class and is willing to step up and be a leader in the classroom. He always does his best work, displays excellent effort, and is willing to participate in class discussions. He is consistently showing Trojan PRIDE in and out of the classroom. He shows respect toward his peers and teachers and is always doing the right thing.”

Sixth-grader Dalila Amaro was selected by her teachers as an October Student of the Month. Her certificate states, “She is prepared every day and is extremely dependable on getting work done on time.Dalila displays a great work ethic and attitude, striving to do her best at all times.”

Sixth-grader Bradley Warnell also was selected by his teachers as an October Student of the Month. His certificate states, “Bradley has been working extremely well with others and has had a positive attitude toward learning and sharing during the month of October. His classmates and teachers enjoy his reading with expression and feeling.”

Madison Septer has been named a seventh-grade October Student of the Month. Her certificate states, “Madison is very engaged with her learning. She works hard and always puts forth full effort. She is always pleasant and has a smile on her face. Her great attitude is contagious to others around her.”

Santiago Garcia Andrade has been named a seventh-grade October Student of the Month. His certificate states, “Santiago is showing great growth, and this is due to the great effort he puts forth. He makes corrections on his work and learns from mistakes. He is a very conscientious student, who is also very polite to adults and students.”

The eighth-grade team selected Adriana Alonso as an October Student of the Month. Her certificate states, “Adriana is a quiet leader who can always be trusted to do the right thing. She is a careful, meticulous worker who strives to do her best at all times. Adriana is a joy to have in class.”

The eighth-grade team also selected Luis Zarate as an October Student of the Month. His certificate states, “Luis is a quiet student who leads by his example. A hard worker with a good sense of humor, Luis is also someone who can be counted on to do the right thing, follow through with what he says he will do, and be prepared for class.”
