FMS honors students of month
Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School Students of the Month award to acknowledge positive contributions of students at school.
These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom.
The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.
Harper Fiske was selected as a fifth-grade student of the month for February. Her certificate states, “Harper is always trying her best. She gives 100 percent with all that she does. Harper has really grown in our classroom while becoming a great leader to her peers. She is kind and compassionate to others.”
Cameron Ledger was selected as a fifth-grade student of the month for February. His certificate states, “He does tremendously well on assignments, taking his time and making sure to do them to the best of his ability. He is always very attentive in class and is a good role model to his peers in the classroom. Cameron is continually giving his maximum effort in and out of the classroom, including ... extra-curricular activities.”
Tanner Collins was selected as a sixth-grade student of the month for February. His certificte states, “Tanner works hard in and out of the classroom to do his best, and is a dependable, caring student. He is a kind and quiet leader, willing to help others in need. We are proud that Tanner exemplifies FMS Trojan Pride at our school!”
Jillian Dunlap was selected as a sixth-grade student of the month for February. Her certificate states, “Jillian’s display of TROJAN PRIDE is truly evident and appreciated each and every day. Her teachers and classmates have clearly observed her focus, hard work, honesty, and willingness to work with others in and out of the classroom.”
Kai-Li Diyaljee was selected as a seventh-grade student of the month for February. Her certificate states, “She is a hard worker, who always gets work completed by the deadline, and often before the deadline. She is eager to learn and always looks for ways to learn more. Another endearing quality of Kai-Li’s is that she is willing to help her peers and her teachers.”
Hunter Hoskins was selected as a seventh-grade student of the month for February. His certificate states, “Hunter is a very dependable student. He works hard and always puts forth full effort. Hunter is a great participant in class activities and discussions, and can be counted on to ask good questions. In addition, Hunter is consistently an honest and helpful young man.”
Chris Hanson was selected as an eighth-grade student of the month for February. His certificate states, “Chris is a quiet leader in the classroom. He really strives to use class time well and put his best effort into each and every assignment. He comes to class prepared and is a student you can count on to always be doing the right thing. He truly models the characteristics of Trojan PRIDE.”
Dayna Price was selected as an eighth-grade student of the month for February. Her certificate states, “Dayna participates in class and enjoys a challenge. She has high expectations for herself in the classroom and completes work to the best of her ability. Dayna loves to learn, even if it means extra effort outside of school for additional projects.”
